Synthetic down consists of lightweight, polyester fibers coated with a thin layer of silicone. Clothing with this type of padding dries faster and maintains its insulating properties, even after contact with moisture. In addition, synthetic down is hypoallergenic, resistant to mold and its maintenance is much easier compared to natural down.
